Youth Leader
In 2000, Greta Neimanas was an 11 year old girl looking for some activity. She found it at the newly formed Super Summer Sports program at RIC, which was established in cooperation with Dreams for Kids for the purpose of starting a sports program for kids with disabilities. The next summer, Greta was a camp counselor, helping to make dreams come true for other children who were dreaming to be part of life changing activities.
Today, the Dreams for Kids Extreme Recess Program continues that tradition and Greta Neimanas has not only continued to play sports, she became a champion and will be going for the Gold in the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing! Truly one of the world's elite cyclists, Greta will be representing the United States and following her dreams to even greater heights!
A student at the University of Colorado, the next stop for Greta is the 2007 IPC Cycling World Championships in Bordeaux, France.
Congratulations Greta!
