On May 1, 2006 Taylor Gestes tripped on a Play Station cord, hit her head, and sustained a severe head injury. Her injuries became life threatening, which required her to be air lifted to the University of Chicago Hospital for emergency brain surgery.

Since that time, Taylor has lived with an amazing spirit as she and her family adjusts to a new life with different challenges they had never anticipated.

Taylor joined Dreams for Kids this summer for our trip to Discovery Cove in Florida and had the opportunity to experience the magic of swimming with the Dolphins in our Extreme Recess program.
