Get Involved
The dolphin has taught us that in a single moment of grace we can reach out to another person and change their live forever.
We have a motto in Dreams for Kids -- Just Say Hi! A simple greeting can change a day, and it can help bring a person from the despair of isolation. Those who live with a disability often are ignored. Many people in a wheelchair spend their days looking up, but not many people look down. The consequences of people always looking away can be a desperate feeling of exclusion.
Moving forward from a simple greeting, we can reach out even further and create an entirely new life for those who have been left out for too long.
In your workplace, community group, or school, you can help us build a movement of compassion and acceptance. As a young person, you can be today's leaders and as an adult you can help empower our youth to truly be the generation we have been waiting for.
Please join us as we inspire a generation of goodwill ambassadors and truly change the world!

Holiday for Hope
Dreams for Kids first official event in December 1989 was a visit to a children's homeless shelter. An effort to bring the hope of the holiday season to needy children has grown to the largest holiday celebration of its kind in the world. On the same day in December each year people in cities and towns across the world come together for events that range from a single act of giving to parties for thousands of homeless kids.

Started by Professor Jonathan White, while he was a college student, this campaign to help fight hunger has grown to an effort that has spread across North America. On Halloween, October 31st, this year and every year, volunteers will be bringing the fun back to trick or treating and, instead of collecting candy will be asking for non perishable and canned goods.
